The Criminal Justice Research and Evaluation Center at John Jay College of Criminal Justice assisted the Center for Substance Abuse Prevention in developing, synthesizing, updating, adapting and disseminating state-of-the-art prevention knowledge about what works, for whom, and under what conditions. The purpose of NCAP was the centralize the synthesis of scientific and practice-based prevention knowledge and creation of useful activities and products to support decision-making (about what works) by Federal, State and community substance abuse prevention policymakers, planners, and practitioners.
